Austrian billionaire Richard Lugner dies at 91, 2 months after marrying 42-year-old sixth wife

The billionaire and Austrian businessman Richard Lugner passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2025. He was 91. The news of his death came two months after marrying Simone Reilander, his 42-year-old sixth wife. The couple exchanged vows in Vienna City Hall on Sunday, June 1. According to local accounts, he declared that their relationship will be their last marriage. Prior to this, he was married to Playboy model and actress Cathy Schmitz (2014-2016), Susanne Dietrich (1984-1989), Christina Lugner (1990-2007), Christine Gmeiner (1961-1978), and Cornelia Laufersweiler (1979-1983). The businessman, who began his career in construction, is survived by four children: Andreas, Jacqueline, Alexander, and Nadine. Participated as an independent candidate in the Austrian presidential elections twice, in 1998 and 2016. Ladoja Becomes Beaded-Crown Wearing Oba (Photos)

The former governor of Oyo state and th  Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, was on Monday (August 4, 2024) coronated as a beaded-crown Oba of Ibadanland. Ladoja's official coronation which took place at the newly commissioned Oke-Are palace of Olubadan was presided by HIM Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland. At the historic event were top dignitaries including Barr. Bayo Lawal, the deputy governor of the State, who presented the staff and instrument of office to Ladoja on behalf of his boss, Governor Seyi Makinde. The event also has in attendance a host of Ibadan Obas, Senior Chief and Baales, among others. The coronation has put to an end the prolonged controversy trailing the Ibadan Chieftaincy Declaration review. Recall that Ladoja was the only High Chief who had initially refused to receive beaded-crown.

Kayode Pitan, Ex-Bank of Industry Boss, Replaces Iluyomade At RCCG City of David

The Redeemed Christian Church of God's new pastor of the City of David Parish in Lagos is Pastor Kayode Pitan. He will take over for Pastor Charles Kpandei, who has been acting as the interim pastor since Pastor Idowu Iluyomade was suspended in June. A report monitored on Cityscoopng confirmed that Pitan has now been officially named as the City of David's current pastor, according to a report by Church Times, which cited a top source in the RCCG. The decision, TrendscopeNews gathered, was purportedly made by the church's governing council at the just finished annual conference of the RCCG. Pitan was the Regional Pastor and the Pastor in Charge of the Tabernacle of David in Region 51 before taking on his new position. Immigration begins probe on woman who tore husband's passport at Lagos Airport

An investigation into the destruction of a Nigerian passport at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, has been launched by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). The incident has raised serious public and official concerns. It was recorded on camera and extensively disseminated on social media. The person who has been identified as the perpetrator of the act is Mrs. Favour Igiebor, whose passport number is A11990869. NIS Public Relations Officer Kenneth Udo verified in an official statement that the Comptroller General of Immigration has mandated an investigation into the situation. It's anticipated that Mrs. Igiebor will be questioned in further detail to find out what happened before the passport was destroyed.
