N igerian popular businessman and politician Buruji Kashamu is dead. The Ogun State-born former lawmaker who represented Ogun East in the country's Upper Chamber was said to have died of complications from the deadly coronavirus this afternoon. He died at age 62, at the First Cardiology Consultants Hospital in Lagos on Saturday 8 August, 2020, according to the news shared on on Twitter by another popular politician, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce. "I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss."

The Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPON) has discontinued its banking relationship with a popular commercial bank in the country, First Bank of Nigeria Limited. This decision, according to a prominent member of the association, was not unconnected with the poor network being  experienced lately by the numerous customers of the bank, especially during the recent Eid el Kabir celebration.  Trendscopenews exclusively gathered that, the epileptic network of the bank denied AMPON members who were supposed to get some stipends for the celebration the opportunity. The Association has since directed its account department to open a new account with another reliable bank.
