Sagamu/Mosinmi road crash kills four, injures four others

An accident near Monsinmi on Sagamu/Ikorodu Road in the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State has resulted in the deaths of four people and the injuries of four more. The accident involved two vehicles: a white convoy bus and a Sienna with the license plate LND945EL, according to Florence Okpe, the Public Relations Officer for the Federal Roads Safety Corps in the state. "The suspected causes of the crash were speed and wrongful overtaking which led to rear collision of the two vehicles. "Rescue operation was carried out today, Sunday, 26th May, 2024, by a team from Federal Roads Safety Corps Mosimi Unit Command at MRI on a crash that occurred at about 1240 hrs. "Eight people were involved in the crash. A total of four people were killed while four others were injured," she said Channelstv report stated that the injured victims were taken to Dasochris Hospital, Gbaga, Ogijo, while the family took custody of the corpses. Former First Bank chairman, Ajibola Afonja dies at 82

A former Labour Minister and Chairman, First Bank of Nigeria, Sulaiman Ajibola Afonja, is dead. TrendscopeNews.com learnt that Afonja who served under the interim government of Ernest Shonekan breathed his last Sunday night at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan. He was 82. A report monitored on OyoInsight.con noted that Afonja was rushed to UCH after he got injured in a lone accident in Ilora, a few kilometer drive from his country home in Eleekara.  Afonja in his life was the founder of Integrated Dimensional System (IDS).
