The ongoing fight-to-finish for principal officers’ positions in the 10th National Assembly by the All Progressives Congress (APC) has only one fitting corollary: It is the famous mythic, destructive squabble between the Shrew, Squirrel and a seemingly impartial arbiter, the Tortoise. Bayo Aborisade, a professor of English from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, had an awesome party on Saturday. It was his 70th birthday and retirement luncheon. The milestone celebration held at the premises of FUTA had in attendance, the who-is-who from academia, business, social and other sectors. Professor Olorode delivered a powerful birthday lecture to the amazement of the invited guests.  Aborisade deserves all the accolades, honor showered on him in the cause of the celebration. Having achieved so much in his career and private life. All is set for Carol, wife of the erudite scholar professor Ralph Akinfeleye, to be buried in June. The burial proceedings will hold between June 15 and 16, 2023, at Odode, Idanre in Ondo state, according to the family. Carol Akinfeleye, a retired school principal and director of education in Lagos state, died recently after a brief illness. Her death occured while the couple were looking forward to their 40th wedding anniversary in September this year. She died as result of what appeared to be "ordinary cough" according to her husband. Late Akinfeleye started her teaching career with the Lagos State Service on the 24 November, 1983, as a classroom teacher at C.M.S Grammar School,  Bariga. She  served meritoriously and rose through the ranks to become a principal and director of education before she bowed out of service in 2018. She was the Yeye Gbekonuyi of Idanre Kingdom.
