The former governor of Oyo state and th Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, was on Monday (August 4, 2024) coronated as a beaded-crown Oba of Ibadanland.
Ladoja's official coronation which took place at the newly commissioned Oke-Are palace of Olubadan was presided by HIM Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
At the historic event were top dignitaries including Barr. Bayo Lawal, the deputy governor of the State, who presented the staff and instrument of office to Ladoja on behalf of his boss, Governor Seyi Makinde.
The event also has in attendance a host of Ibadan Obas, Senior Chief and Baales, among others.
The coronation has put to an end the prolonged controversy trailing the Ibadan Chieftaincy Declaration review.
Recall that Ladoja was the only High Chief who had initially refused to receive beaded-crown.
