Ibadan Most Wanted Cult Leader, Ebila Killed

Though there are conflicting reports about how it happened but news coming in from the ancient city of Ibadan has it that leader of the dreaded cult group, 'one million boys', Ebila has been gunned down.

Ebila was said to have been killed Sunday afternoon at Olomi area of Ibadan. He had earlier been declared wanted by the Oyo State Police Command.

While some reports said Ebila was killed in what looked like a reprisal attack by the rival cult group to avenge the death of their leader, Ekugbemi. Another report has it that Ebila was shot by men of Operation Burst when he resisted an arrest. That the incident actually happened at Kudeti area and not Olomi as earlier reported.

Confirming the incident however, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi said it is true that the leader of the dreaded cult group, Ebila was killed.

The PPRO made the confirmation in a phone interview on Fresh FM on Sunday evening.

He also revealed that two individuals have also been arrested.

He, however, noted that the details about who and how he was killed were still sketchy.

He also revealed that security operatives are already on ground at Olomi area, where Ebila was killed, and other strategic places to prevent any further break down of law and order.

The PPRO also assured the public of the commitment of the Police command in Oyo State to the security of lives and properties.

Ebila, it would be recalled, allegedly led his group in an attack during which a rival cult leader, Ekugbemi was gruesomely murdered, sometimes in May this year.
