Just In: Protesters Flood Uyo As INEC REC's Manipulation Of Results Exposed By Witnesses At Tribunal
Protesters are taking to the streets in Uyo on Thursday after damning revelations laid to the public glare that Akwa Ibom Resident Electoral Commisdion chairman, Mike Igini manipulated election results to favour PDP in the last general election in Akwa Ibom. It would be recalled that several witnesses have been testifying at Akwa Ibom Election tribunal. On Wednesday several drama played out as the first respondent, Chris Ekpenyong, presented more witnesses in the petition challenging his declaration as the winner of the Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district. Senator Goodswil Akpabio and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are challenging Ekpenyong's declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as winner of the February 23 national assembly election.
