The mock election conducted by the APC NWC which produced Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila has divided the lawmakers who won on the platform of the party. Former Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, now House of Reps Member-Elect representing Asa/Ilorin West Constituency, Hon. Razak Atunwa tweeted shortly after Gbajabiamila’s emergence that, “I and all Dogara supporters just walked out of the ‘primaries’ by ambush called by APC Chairman.The impromptu and ambush ‘primaries’ purportedly conducted by APC today is wholly illegitimate. An election by ambush! One candidate wasn’t told. No notice, no guidelines, no agreed rules, 30% of members absent! The Speakership of the House of Reps will be determined on the floor of the House by all members on 9th of June. Period.”

The death has been announced of Alhaja Monsurat Abimbola Adegboye, wife of the Deputy Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Akintunde Adegboye.

Alhaja Monsurat, we gathered died Friday evening, June 5th, 2015, at age of 47. She has since been buried this morning according to Muslim rites, at Ansarudeen Mosque, Sabo, Osogbo.
