Igini is Unfit To Hold Public Office- Akpabio

Godswill Akpabio, the senator who represented Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial district in the 8th assembly, has described the state's electoral commissioner, Mr Mike Igini as the most compromised electoral officer in Nigeria. That he  should not be allowed to hold public office.
Akpabio stated this at Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government area of the state while empowering some of his constituents. he accused Mike Igini, resident electoral commissioner of the state, of denying him of the mandate freely given to him.
Saying, "God will soon expose those who fraudulently orchestrated' his loss in the last national assembly election.
He insisted that he did not lose the election, and urged his people not to be dismayed by the temporary setback.
“Please nobody should have any headache, nobody should cry because there is no need. You know your senator cannot lose election because we were all there,” he said.
“But many of them thought they can go and write whatever they like and even cancel what you won. I have never in my life experienced a resident electoral commissioner like Mike Igini and my message to him is that his hypocrisy will be exposed.
“There is no way you can come into Akwa Ibom and commit that kind of electoral fraud you committed then you go back to Channels Television and sit down and talk as if you are a pope.
“Very soon the world will know… All the materials we are recovering everyday will expose you.
“Just yesterday, the police arrested people carrying materials from where they voted and were trying to sneak into INEC. The other day, they arrested someone with card readers. He was frantically calling and trying to say that they were used for training three months after election so that they will continue to manipulate," he said.
Akpabio also said that he intends to join President Muhammadu Buhari to sanitise the nation’s electoral system.
”For me, it is important as a former governor and elder statesman to join the President to sanitize the electoral process so that we will ensure that votes count in future elections."
”There is no need for Nigeria to continue taking one step forward and five steps backward," Akpabio posited.

Senator Akpabio's Wife, Unoma Marks Her Birthday In Style

Mrs Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, former First Lady of Akwa Ibom State and wife of former Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, is a year older.

Eka Esit Mbom, as she is fondly called is a loving and lovable creature of God.
June 9 of every year has always been special for Mrs Akpabio and her lovely family and this year's is not an exception.

The only difference, however, is that rather than throw a lavish party, Mrs Akpabio has decided to have a low key celebration with her family and friends at their Abuja home.

To Mrs Akpabio, celebrating one's birthday is essential, but helping others, especially the less privileged, is more important.
She believes wealth is given by God to whom He pleases, and whatever is  given to you by God is not for your benefit alone, but  for others.

That is the way she has structured her life over the years. Service to humanity and giving hope to the hopeless.

Many women do noble things, but she surpass them all.Her pet project, Family Life Enhancement Program (FLEP) has been a channel of joy for the less privileged and the down-trodden.
Students, widows, the  homeless, traders, the sick among others, have benefited immensely from her various humanitarian endeavours .

Interestingly, Mrs Akpabio detests any form of noise about herself or her philanthropic gestures; she doesn't blow her trumpet despite all she has achieved in that aspect. She is so passionate about helping others.

As an American author, Buckminster Fuller has rightly put, "There is no joy equal to that of being able to work for all humanity and doing what you're doing well".

That is what has been guiding Mrs Akpabio in providing services to humanity.

Apart from being deeply engrossed in her humanitarian activities, she is a loving wife to her husband and a wonderful mother not only to her biological children, but  to many out there.
She has been a pillar of support to her husband in his political journey

No wonder Mrs Akpabio is well loved and respected among her people, family and the society at large.
Here is wishing Eka Esit Mbom, a happy birthday today and always.
