Mass Defection Hits ADC As Scores Of Supporters Join Alao-Akala In ADP

HeThousands of members of the embattled African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo state on Thursday defected to the Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala led Action Democratic Party ( ADP) in the state.

The defectors were led into the ADP by Honourable Khalil Mustapha Repete an House of Assembly aspirant for Ibadan North state constituency 1.

Speaking on their defection to the ADP, Honourable Mustapha Repete said the defectors resolved into dumping ADC following series of internal crises rocking the party in the past few months which has been unresolved. 

He stressed that it was glaring that the prolonged crisis rocking the ADC has gone beyond redemption, hence the need for any serious minded politician to quit the party before it will be too late.

According to him," for us as serious minded politicians, we have weighed our options and we have decided to make this move without looking back."

"I for one and the scores of teeming supporters you see here today cannot allow the selfish interest of an individual jeopardise our own political future. 

We have sojourned in the wilderness for years and now God has placed our feet on the path to success.

You cannot build something on nothing. 

It is only an unserious minded party that will present upto three gubernatorial candidates with the space of one months and still expect to perform magic at the polls hence our decision to jettison the sinking sheep of ADC and join this Noah's ark captained by Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala."

Honourable Mustapha maintained that it was glaring that the leadership of ADC in Oyo state are more interested in their selfish ambition than the overall plight of the masses in the state thereby resulting in the unending crisis over the sharing of political offices to be contested for in the 2019 general elections.

He however expressed the readiness of the decampees to work for the success of the ADP, its governorship candidate, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala and others contesting on the platform of the party in the 2019 general elections.

" I can readily assure you all that we are determined to ensure that ADP in Oyo state haw come to stay for good in Oyo state and with the array of quality and qualified candidates chosen to fly the flag of the party, I can assure you success is guaranteed God willing," he stated.

He ia s young and vibrant businessman who deals in auto business; he sells heavy trucks. He is one of the successful young men in Ibadan. His mum is also popular too; she owns a big Celestial Church, Oke Ayo Zion Cathedral, around Iyaganku area of Ibadan.

University Don Denies Media Attacks On Akpabio

The current blackmail and character assassination  against the Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio by a  renowned blackmail medium Trailreporters, could best be described as failed and vain  attempt by the State Government to make issue out of no issue.

For the records,  the man at the center of the sponsored write up, Prof. Des Wils has vehemently distanced himself from the report purporting  that Senator Akpabio plotted his assassination. 

The denial by the University of Uyo lecturer has further proven the desperation of those that former Governor Akpabio worked tiredlessly to raise from boys to men. 

While one is not surprised of the plot by the State Government to link Senator Akpabio to all imaginable crimes by those envious of Akpabio's  leadership role, especially as regards who replaces the ground breaking specialist in the State and the success of President Muhammadu Buhari in the  2019 elections, the entry of Trailreporters into the fray of Akpabio blackmailers is unfortunate. 

However, one obvious fact is that Senator Akpabio remains a man of honour loved by his people and hated by the many Judas Iscariot. 

Again, the sponsors of the cheap blackmail against Senator Akpabio and medium like Trailreporters will remain in perpetual shame. 

And as David in Psalms 41:9 &10 cried to the LORD and was delivered by defeating all his enemies, so shall Senator Godswill Akpabio defeat his blackmailers, those he raised up and later turned against him beginning from the State Government to notorious and ignoble Trailreporters.
