Family To Hold 8-Day Fidau Prayer For Late Oyo Federal Lawmaker, Akinremi July 18

All is set for the family left behind by Hon. Olaide Akinremi, a.k.a. Jagaban, to hold an 8-day fidau prayer in his honor. Akinremi who represented Oyo North Federal Constituency in the House of Representative passed away a few days ago, after a brief illness.  Jagaban was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State. He was 51. The Fidau prayers, according to an electronic invitation obtained by TrendscopeNews, will hold at Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, Opp. University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan on Thursday, 18th July, 2024. How House of Reps lost three members within 3 months

A member of the Federal House of Representatives, Ekene Abubakar Adams, has died. The Kaduna lawmaker, reports said, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, at the age of 39. He was a member of the Labour Party (LP). Confirming the sad development in a statement, spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Akin Rotimi Jr, described the deceased as "a kind and gentle humanitarian, loved by all who knew him". He said: ''The House of Representatives is saddened to announce the passing of a dear member of the 10th Assembly, Rep. Ekene Abubakar Adams (LP, Kaduna), who died early Tuesday, at the age of 39."
