President of NCWS, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau dies

Death has occurred of the President of National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau.

A report monitored on Newspotng.com confirmed that she passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, 5th June, 2024, after a brief illness.

Late Lau, the report said, have been responsible for a number of empowerment programmes that relieved the suffering of many indigent women across the country.

A statement from the NCWS noted that her hard work and contributions to the betterment of the society would never be forgotten.

According to the society, "Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau was a passionate leader and champion of women's empowerment who will be dearly mourned by all who knew her.

"Her hard work and contributions to the welfare of our society will never be forgotten."
