The Kaduna lawmaker, reports said, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, at the age of 39. He was a member of the Labour Party (LP).
Confirming the sad development in a statement, spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Akin Rotimi Jr, described the deceased as "a kind and gentle humanitarian, loved by all who knew him".
He said: ''The House of Representatives is saddened to announce the passing of a dear member of the 10th Assembly, Rep. Ekene Abubakar Adams (LP, Kaduna), who died early Tuesday, at the age of 39."

Ekene Adams, a first-term member of the House, chaired the House of Representatives Committee on Sports.
Meanwhile, his death came about six days after another House member Olaide Akiyemi, a.k.a. Jagaban died.
Jagaban who represented the Ibadan North Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) passed away on Thursday, 11 July, 2024, after a brief illness. He was 51.
The two deaths have brought the number to 3 that the House of Representatives has recorded within a year.
Another member of the House, Isa Dogonyaro, passed away about two months earlier before Akinremi's death. He was representing the Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State and was a member of the APC.
According to Rotimi Jr, "Hon. Isa Dogonyaro was a detribalised patriot who was very jovial as much as he was an intellectual."
