When Ooni of Ife, Obasanjo, Buratai, Others Stormed Kuta For Oba Makama's 60th Birthday

There is a wide gap between being rich and being classy. Though not many people seem to know or understand this fact. But in the case of Oba (Dr) Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude, Tegbosun 111, the Olowu of Kuta land, he favourably combines the two qualities and even more.

Oba Makama has gotten the riches, influence, fame, the steez and class. But upon all he's still very humble. His sense of humor is second to none. In fact, he's a humility personified. He's also a detailed man. Oba Makama pays special attention to details and that has always reflecting in whatever he does.
The above mentioned qualities were exactly the scenario that played out when the Osun monarch celebrated his 60th birthday the penultimate Sunday. It was a very classy and grand celebration attended by the movers and shakers of the society.

In fact, the ancient town of Kuta was practically shot down with the massive influx of A-list celebrities who came from different parts of the country and beyond to honor Oba Makama as he clocked 60 in style.
Ooni of Ife, HIM Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was the royal father of the day. Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola; the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba (Dr) Adedokun Abolarin; Timi of Ede, HRM Oba Munirudeen Lawal; Emir of Biu, Alhaji Midala Mustapha Umar; Olu Of Ileogbo, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese, and other traditional rulers too numerous to mention were all at the birthday reception.

Other top celebrities at the party include former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Balogun of Owu Kingdom; former Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd), Balogun Agba Akin of Kuta land; former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; the beautiful First Lady of Osun State, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, and former Osun SSG, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade.
Also at the party was the dandy publisher of The Street Journal Magazine, Mogaji Bowale Oluwole Arisekola, who is equally getting set to host top celebrities as he gives out daughter's hand in marriage in December this year. Arisekola was accompanied to the event by a prominent lecturer of Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Dr Saheed Adetunbi Ige and a top banker, Rotimi Jacobs.

Prior to the commencement of the reception, Oba Makama, majestically dressed in a beautifully sewed Agbara Aso-Oke, had earlier welcomed first callers celebrities into his inner chamber and made them comfortable. He later led them to the reception venue, a lavishly decorated gigantic marque erected on the palace ground. It was really a colourful scene to behold and one befitting of royalty.
The decorations, props, lights and the sitting arrangements everything was well organised and excellently executed. The security was good too. Not only that, there was more than enough to eat and to drink at the party. Trust Oba Makama as a wonderful host, he made sure all quests were taken care of. This was achieved through the solid organisation with the help of Kabiyesi's Oloris.

Apart from the warm ambience at the party, there were also many side attractions including ‘Iwure’ by Chief Yemi Elebuibon and 'Oriki' by Ajobiewe.
The Osun State Cultural Troupe and another northern Kano-based group were also at their best with their wonderful performances to the amazement of all guests.
Adewale Ayuba, the Bonsue Fuji Crooner, was on bandstand. He, as usual, gave a good account of himself as a superstar with his electrifying performance.

Meet Ibadan's 10 Big Real Estate Players

The real estate sector in Oyo State, especially Ibadan, the capital city, is currently experiencing what could best be described as a mega boom. Thanks to the few investors who saw the vision years back and keyed into it by contributing their quotas to the development of the sector. Kudos also to the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration in the state for creating an enabling environment (the successive governments couldn't be excused from the success story too). Not only has Makinde's administration created an enabling environment, it has introduced some investors-friendly policies, and as well undertook partnerships that had really helped in bringing about the unprecedented developments in the sector. This has also created room for options for those who are interested in both luxury and low cost estates. Its also explains reasons for the many real estate projects (both completed and ongoing) all over the place. There are developments and construction almost everywhere in Ib
