A PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo state Engr. Seyi Makinde has submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms at the national secretariat of the party, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
In a release signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade for the Seyi Makinde organisation, the aspirant called for a level playing field for all aspirants and said that if he is privileged to be elected as the party's candidate, he will ensure that every political tendency is accommodated and given their due recognition.
Makinde stated that as a private citizen, he has engaged in poverty alleviation programmes for over 20 years and if elected he will deploy government resources and implement policies to lift the masses in Oyo State out of poverty.
In his response, the National Organising Secretary of the PDP, Col Austin Akobundu (rtd.) said that the National Working Committee was aware that Engr. Makinde is a decent politician and admonished him to conduct himself within the re-branded and reformed PDP and make the party proud.
Makinde’s entourage included 27 local government party Chairmen led by Chairman of Chairmen, Prince Seun Adelore, two Senatorial Chairmen, Sir Samuel Olawuwo and Hon Waheed Ayinde Oluwakemi both Chairmen of Oyo South and North Senatorial districts respectively, Chief Sunday Ogunlade, Chief Jacob Adetoro, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, former Speaker Of Oyo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Moruf Atilola, 15 members of the State Executive Council, Hon Remi Ayodele, Hon Dare Adeleke and Director of Strategy and Communication of the campaign, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
