The South-West Guild of Online Publishers (SWEGOP) has commiserated with Comrade Ademola Babalola, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council on the passing of his mother, Alhaja Wulemot Aweni Babalola.
Alhaja Babalola passed away on Sunday at the age of 76 and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
SWEGOP, in a statement by its chairman Olayinka Agboola and made available to newsmen by its Publicity Secretary, Oluremi Oladoye, expressed heartfelt sympathy to Comrade Babalola and his family, describing the loss of a mother as a bitter pill to swallow.
SWEGOP noted that Alhaja Babalola’s nurturing spirit and commitment to her family have inspired many, providing a foundation of love that has impacted lives of countless individuals.
“Alhaja Wulemot Aweni Babalola will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and dedication to her family and people around her”, stated SWEGOP in the statement.
The guild prayed that God grant the deceased eternal rest and the Babalola family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
