Mogaji 'Bowale Oluwole Arisekola and his adorable wife Morenike Arisekola are in a joyful mood. The reason for this is not far-fetched as their first child, Segilola is set to walk down the aisle with her partner.
An inside source said the debonair publisher of Street Journal and the President of the Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPON) is not ready to leave any stone unturned to stage a moderate but glamorous wedding for his daughter.
The source also added that best of the best of party vendors in town have already been engaged. The wedding, he said, is slated for Thursday the 19th of December, 2024 at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lagos State.
This, no doubt, is one event that top Nigerian celebrities are looking forward to. Even though left for Arisekola, he would have preferred a low key ceremony judging by the not-so-friendly situation of things in the country presently. But Arisekola, irrespective, has every reason to celebrate. This is the first time he would be giving a child's hand out in marriage.
Again, himself and his beautiful wife are now proud parents of lovely children. They have successfully raised their children to a desirable stage, and they are all doing wonderfully well.
The first daughter, Segilola, who is the bride-to-be, like her father, is a practicing journalist. She's a travel and documentary journalist. She's also a producer who is involved in several projects including the Michael Palin Series. Segilola is a product of City University, London, where she bagged a degree in Law.
The second daughter, Wuraola, about two years ago, graduated with a Distinction in her master's degree program from the prestigious University College of London. The other two, Diekola and Monisola, are exceptionally brilliant and also excelling in their academics.
Meanwhile, the upcoming wedding ceremony, no matter how moderate it might be, will be a celebrity-studded party. This is because of Arisekola's powerful connections which cut across business, politics and social sectors and even entertainment.
So all the who-is-who in the above mentioned sectors will be coming for the party. It would also serve as a kind of pay back time for many who have, in one way or the other, benefitted from Arisekola's kind gestures.
Arisekola, the Mogaji (family head) of Ajenigieye, Oje, Ibadan, is naturally a man of the people. He treats everyone that has ever crossed his path with utmost respect, irrespective of their age or status.
Above all, he's philanthropist. He had touched and still touching a lot of lives but don't just make noise about it. In fact, charity works come naturally for him. He has a good number of students, both at elementary and high institution levels, on his scholarship sheme. He has secured employments for many youths with his rich contacts. Many old people, as well as widows are on his payroll.
This year alone, Arisekola has splashed several millions of naira on charity works. He recently distributed 3,000 bundles of exercise books and 1,500 school bags to primary and secondary school students within his family compound in Yemetu-Oje, Ibadan.
So for these reasons and many others, family, friends and associates would love to honor Wole Arisekola and celebrate with him as his daughter gets married.
