'Enough is enough', Sanusi tells supporters to stop 2027 guber campaigns

In a surprising move, Engineer Dotun Sanusi on Sunday asked the supporters campaigning for his 2027 gubernatorial ambition to forthwith halt the campaigns.

Sanusi, the chairman of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, made the disclosure in chat with Oyoinsit.com.

The Ibadan-born industrialist, the report said, is worried about the intense pressure for him to run for the 2027 governorship race.

"Enough is enough," he said, emphasizing the fact that his future is in Gods hands, and his service to humanity will continue irrespective of his political ambitions.

He further stated that "I am not doing what I do for political gains. I am committed to the greater good of our people. Giving is part of my life.”

Trendscopenews had earlier reported how Sanusi two weeks ago officially declared his interest to run for the Oyo state number seat in 2027.

This claim was backed with a post shared on Whatsapp status by Dotun Sanusi himself.

The poster read: OYODOTUN 2027, Governorship Candidate, Vote Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Oyo State Governor 2027.

To further confirmed that Sanusi really meant business with his ambition, he attached a prayer note to the poster. It stated: "Yah Allah, aid me and do not aid against me, and grant me victory and do not grant victory over me, plan for me and do not plan against me, guide me and facilitate guidance for me, grant me victory over those who transgress against me."

We also told you about how his friends and associates had bombarded the social media with different branded campaign materials.

Now the story has taken rather a very surprising turn. But whether Sanusi is only using this as a kind of strategy to buy himself more time for enough preparation and consultation or he's really serious about shelving his guber ambition. Only time will tell.
