The mother of the Chairman and CEO of Afia Construction, Engr Abdul-Jelyl Adekunle Karheem Adanla, was on Saturday, 1st May, 2024, at her residence, N6A/522, Taiwo Street Polytechnic Road, Sango, Ibadan.
Alhaja (Princess) Aolat Apinke Karheem Adanla passed away on Friday, 31st May, 2024, after a brief illness.
The Janazah prayers in her honor, however, had in attendance her children, family and well wishers. One of Mama's children is Engr Abdul-Jelyl Karheem Adanla, the CEO of Afia Construction and the Turaki Adini of Oyo state.
Engr Karheem is also the Mogaji of the Adanla Compound of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
Among those at the burial and Janazah prayers included the Chief Imam of Ibadanland and grand Imam of Oyo state, Maolana AL Khalifa of Maolana Sheik Uthmam Akanbi Olanase; the Arole Iba Oluyole and Baba Isale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Senior Chief Nurain Akanbi; Prof. K.K Olosho; Alhaji Alao Lateef and the S.S.A to Governor Seyi Makinde on Islamic Affairs, Dr Abduljelyl Kola Hameed.
Also on the list are the chairman of Oluyole Local Government; the host Chairman, the Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government; Alhaji Ismail Ashipa (Powerful Leader); Mogaji Abass Oloko; Mogaji Adewale Alago; Mogaji Ademola Olasomi; Mogaji Jero; Mogaji Koso; Mogaji Musbau Daada; Mogaji Toki; Hon Wasiu Arole Beyioku Akere, among others.
Speaking at the burial program, Adanla expressed his profound gratitude towards to the Oyo State Government for ensuring there was peace and free flow of traffic.
He also commended the O.C Operation, the Nigeria Civil Defense and Oyo State Road Management Company.
"Once again I thank you all for turning up on a very short notice yesterday," he said.
