Come Tuesday, 23rd July, 2024, the Inner Wheel Club of Bodija, District 913-Nigeria will hold the installation ceremony of its new President, Dr. Olawumi Abiola Okanlawon.
Dr. Wumi was unanimously elected as President of the Club in March this year.
All hands are on deck to make the iconic ceremony a memorable one. The installation ceremony is scheduled to take place by 11:00am at the Alumni Hall (Dame Edith Okowa Auditorium), University of Ibadan (UI).
Amongst top celebrities expected to grace the occasion are Major General Oladayo Popoola (rtd) as the Chairman of the day; the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon. Toyin Balogun as special guest of honor and Ooni's former Olori, Queen (Evangelist) Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi as Gusts Speaker; the Olugbon of Ile-Igbon, Oba Francis Alao is the Royal Father of the day.
Also on the list is the Oyo Prince, Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu is the Father of the day; Princess Folashade Abeo Nurudeen, the lyaloja-General of Oyo State as Mother of the day. 
Oyo South candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe will be the chief project launcher of the day.
The ceremony, no doubt, is going to be a mage celebration judging by the caliber of members of the Club.
Inner Wheel Club of Nigeria is a volunteering organization established in 1924. Its main goal is to help the needy, especially girls, young and old women.
Inner Wheel through the clubs and districts, is into laudable projects that improves the quality of lives and living of people, especially women and the girl child, as well as giving succour to the less privileged in the society.
These projects are financed through annual dues and levies from members and generous donations from well- meaning individuals and corporate organizations in cash, in company products, or sponsorship of particular projects.
Let's tell you about the new President of Inner Wheel Club of Bodija. Dr. Olawumi Abiola Okanlawon. She is a highly accomplished and versatile professional with a wealth of experience in the fields of accounting, auditing, and entrepreneurship.
Bom on July 23, four decades ago, she has carved out a successful career marked by academic excellence, professional achievements, and community engagement.
She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration, an M.Sc. from the University of Lagos and a B.Sc. in Accounting from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.
Prior to that, she completed her secondary education at the Federal Government Girls College in Oye. She has also obtained a Professional Diploma in Financial Reporting and Forensic Auditing from Lead City University, Ibadan.
Her academic pursuits have provided her with a strong foundation in accounting, auditing and business administration. Abiola's career journey has been marked by a steady progression, starting as an Executive Assistant at Zenith Bank Plc.
She has since rose through the ranks to become the Chief Auditor at the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation, Abuja.
Her ability to effectively communicate, lead, and manage multiple teams has been instrumental in her success.
Dr. Okanlawon's professional affiliations include her status as a Chartered Accountant and her membership of prestigious professional organizations such as The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants; Women in Management, Business and Public Services (WIMBIZ).
