A former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Tirimisiyu Olasupo Okunola, is dead.
The former lawmaker's death was announced by his younger brother, Alhaji Bashir Okunola on his Facebook page Sunday morning.
Although the cause of his death could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, a source informed that the politician had been battling with diabetes before his demise.
Hon. Okunola represented Ido constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2007 and 2011.
He was elected into the Assembly on the platform of the All Nigeria People's Party, ANPP, but later defected to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Breaking the sad news, the deceased's younger brother wrore on his Facebook page: "Haaaaa egbon why why now you left us so soon. Hon Tirimisiyu olasupo Okunola".
