When an Ibadan chief/community leader dies,his/her family must formally inform Kabiyesi Olubadan of Ibadanland,of his/her demise.
Part of the processes include a formal notification(letter)informing Kabiyesi Olubadan of the name, age, ancestry, title held by the deceased, date and place of passage and presentation of two(2)bottles of Schnapp drink to Kabiyesi.
Quite expectedly,Kabiyesi Olubadan will pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased and comfort of his/her family.
