Group Reacts On APC’s Call For Security Agencies To Probe Atiku’s Dubai Meeting

N4Atiku, an independent group working towards the actualisation of PDP candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition has described as laughable and interesting the call by the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the EFCC and other Security Agencies to probe Atiku over the Dubai meeting he had with some other PDP members recently.
APC, through its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, has claimed that the purpose of the meeting may not be what the media report says, suggesting sinister motives. He alleged that the meeting may have focused on how to move illicit cash meant for the rigging of the 2019 election, sponsorship of violence and other things.
The N4Atiku Group, in a statement released by its spokesperson Isiaka Abdulai, has however said that the recent outbursts of the ruling party on PDP and Atiku is nothing but an evidence that they are jittery over Atiku’s presidential ambition.
The group cites the freedom of speech and freedom of association as it is stipulated in the Nigeria constitution.
“How can a strategic meeting of a political party and its presidential candidate abroad becomes the headache of an opposition party? It clearly shows that the ruling party is afraid of defeat already’.
The group reminds the ruling party of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit under the guise of medical trip where he had hosted a series of top meetings with members of his party.
