MSEB, Apreel 1 Set to Honour Seyi Makinde, Diran Odeyemi, Other Icons in Ibadan


Arrangements have reached top gear to ensure a successful staging of the maiden edition of “Celebration of Icons” as organisers disclosed that the programme has been slated for Sunday, October 28, 2018.
Chief Executive Officer of Apreel 1 Event Planners and Publisher of Apreel 1 Magazine, Seyi Odunuga who made this disclosure pointed out that high profile personalities have given assurance that they would throng the Mauve 21 Event Centre to receive honours as well as grace the occasion.

Odunuga stressed that the prospective award recipients were carefully chosen, after organisers considered their humanitarian qualities along with selfless and genuine contributions to the development of mankind, apart from their great exploits in various areas of human endeavour.

He hinted further that notable personalities such as High Chief Adebayo Akande, Chief Mrs Foluke Yusuff, Engineer Seyi Mankinde, Chief Niyi Akintola (SAN), Mr Kunle Afolayan, Mr Femi Adebayo, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM1) and Alhaji Musiliu Haruna-Ishola would receive awards on the day.

Notable award recipients also include Honourable (Prince) Diran Odeyemi, Chief Mrs Toyin Kolade, Princess Olubunmi Olakulehin, Honourable Oladipo Adebutu, Honourable Akeem Ademola Ige, Honourable Gbenga Oyekola and Mr Yemi Sonde.

Odunuga also stated that His Imperial Majesties, Oba Frederick Obateru Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom and Oba Saliu Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadanland are expected as Royal Fathers of the Day, while both Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, Chief Abiodun Agbele and Deacon Owolabi Oladejo serve as Distinguished Guests of Honour and Chairman on the occasion respectively.

Also speaking on the event, owner of USA based MSEB Entertainment, which is the brain behind the project, Chief Foluke Yusuff declared that her establishment would leave no stone unturned to ensure a hitch free celebration, describing the event as first of its kind.

She added that the event would be an annual programme with the primary objective of celebrating success and achievements of Nigerians, while craving for excellence and dignity in service to humanity.

Head of MSEB Entertainment in the United Kingdom, Mr Bayo Animasahun also asserted that Celebration of Icons 2018 promises to be a big and worthwhile event as MSEB is poised to make a statement with it.

According to him, “Nigeria is about to witness a classic event, filled with fun and pageantry of a royal occasion. With what we have so far put in place, this event, no doubt will record a resounding success, as all principal characters in the organisation of the programme are well focused and diligent”.
