A former senator and one of the recently promoted Ibadan high chiefs to the position of Obas by Gov. Ajimobi, Senator Lekan Balogun has aired his voice on an Ibadan High Court's Judgement over olubadan chieftaincy review.
In his words, "If we have Ibadan State, are we going to have only one king in the state? I don't know what the judge has against Ibadan interest; I don't know where she is from. .... The governor gave the the directive that his legal team should appeal the judgement; so, I am satisfied with that," he said.
Recall Honourable Justice Olajumoke Aiki J. had on Friday January 19, 2018 in the suit filed by the former governor of the state and Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Sen. Rashidi Ladoja challenging the decision of Governor Ajimobi to set up the Justice Boade review commission ruled that Sections 10, 12 and 25 of the Oyo State Chiefs Law do not empower the governor to set up the committee.
