3SC Reacts On Late Izu's Salary.

The 3SC Football Club of Ibadan has reacted to a letter written to Oyo State Government by one Mr. Reuben Izu on behalf of the family, appealing for the payment of salaries and allowances owing the club's late player, Izu Joseph. Management of the club in a press statement issued, signed and made available to the press by its Media Officer, Mr Jubril Arowolo stated that:

"Our attention has been drawn to a letter from one Reuben Izu to the government of Oyo State on behalf of the family appealing for the payment of salaries and allowances the club owing the late player."

"While we acknowledge that the club is owing the late player, it is very pertinent to put the record straight that, hardly would a month pass without paying into the account of Pa Joseph Izu Snr, the father of the deceased player, as requested by the family in the last six months.

This did not go down well with the said Reuben who wanted the payments in his account instead, a situation currently causing frictions within the family."

"We had refused to join issues with Mr Reuben Izu as a mark of respect for the late player but this reaction is necessary in order to put a stop to the mischievous manner in which the man is going about the issue."

"It is unfortunate that the late Izu Joseph died while on holiday in his home town, still the club contributed immensely to give him a befitting burial as our dedicated player while he was alive."

"On our part, we are committed to offset his outstanding salaries and this position was acknowledged by an official of the National Association of Professional Footballers, NPFL, Mr Austin Popo during his visit to our office last Friday."
