"Be Civil In Your Actions".-Osun PDP Chairman, Adagunodo Urges DSS

The Osun State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Soji Adagunodo has admonished the men of the Directorate of State Services, DSS to maintain its good name, pedigree, and antecedents for damning the consequences and try to be apolitical while performing its constitutionally assigned roles for the betterment of the nation and its citizens.

Adagunodo who was responding to a group of Students activists who protested to his office on the fate of Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, BOG, a two time PDP Gubernatorial aspirant in Lagos State and the seeming silence of the opposition party since his unlawful arrest (and has remained incommunicado) by men of the DSS .

He said we all have to let the men of the DSS and other agencies of governments know that the entire citizens are their subjects and we are equal in their hands irrespective of our different political affiliation and ideology.
Adagunodo said, we must all ensure that we stay away from all vices of whatever and avoid being arrested as criminals while he said the DSS must ensure fair treatment of the citizens equally.

Speaking further, Adagunodo appealed to the Directorate to give BOG fair treatment and access to his lawyers and family since he hasn't been convicted of any offence more so that we are in a democratic regime which has time limit for someone to be in incarceration before being charged to court as indefinite detention without trial runs viral with the dictates of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He however, called on the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives to let democratic rules prevail on the agencies of government while performing their lawful duties without hurting our nascent democracy in the purview of the international communities.

He later advised the students to take it easy and pursue their goals like gentlemen that they presented themselves to him, even if they have to see the Director General of the DSS in this gentlemanly approach, he will listen to them.
