The Nigerian Customs has declared wanted two of its officials, Abdullahi .I (444A3 ASC) and Odiba Haruna Inah (133386 ACIC), who were said to bee in connection with clearance of a container laden with several pump action rifles. While others involved have been arrested.
This was disclosed in a warrant signed by the Deputy Comptrollers-General, Dan Ugo of the Enforcement, Investigation and Inspection section of Nigerian Customs Service.
It would be recalled that the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) on January 22nd, 2017, along Mile 2 axis of the Apapa-Oshodi express road in Lagos, intercepted a Mack truck with registration number BDG 265 XG conveying the 1by40ft container with number PONU/825914/3. Which was later discovered to be a container from China filled with 49 boxes containing 661 pump action rifles.
