"Ondo People Are Not Bastards"-SDP's Candidate, Agunloye Replies Ekungba.

Flagbearer of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, for November 26 coming gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Dr. Olu Agunloye, has condemned one of the APC contestants, who lost out in the primary, Chief Jamiu Ekungba's statements after the election result.

In his words, "Chief Jamiu Ekungba was certainly furious after losing the APC primaries and was quoted as openly calling people of Ondo State "bastards". I am sure he meant "some delegates of APC in Ondo State are bastards" not "people of Ondo State are bastards."

"Chief Ekungba is a well respected high ranking chief in Owo Kingdom and, for a fact, we are not bastards in Ondo State," Agunloye stated.

Ekungba, who hails from Owo, the same constituency of Rotimi Akeredolu, was said to have stormed out of the venue of the primary and caused a scene after losing in the election.

He was quoted to have made unpalatable statements about the people of Ondo State.

"I am highly disappointed in the people of Ondo, they are bastards and betrayals." "They deceived me. I spent over N300million naira on reaching out to the delegates alone." Those were some of Chief Ekungba's outbursts.

For records, Dr. Olu Agunloye, from Erusu Akoko in Ondo State, is a former lecturer of Physics at the University of Ibadan and former Minister of Power & Steel, under Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The real estate sector in Oyo State, especially Ibadan, the capital city, is currently experiencing what could best be described as a mega boom. Thanks to the few investors who saw the vision years back and keyed into it by contributing their quotas to the development of the sector. Kudos also to the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration in the state for creating an enabling environment (the successive governments couldn't be excused from the success story too). Not only has Makinde's administration created an enabling environment, it has introduced some investors-friendly policies, and as well undertook partnerships that had really helped in bringing about the unprecedented developments in the sector. This has also created room for options for those who are interested in both luxury and low cost estates. Its also explains reasons for the many real estate projects (both completed and ongoing) all over the place. There are developments and construction almost everywhere in Ib
