About two weeks after the Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, and Olubadan apparent, High Chief Sulaiman Adegboyega Omiyale passed on at the age of 91, another High Chief on the Olubadan Chieftaincy ladder has died.
High Chief Omowale Kuye, the Otun Olubadan, who would have been Olubadan after the Balogun might have had his turn on the throne, died around 7.30 pm on Thursday. High Chief Kuye, who was the third in line to the throne was 87.
He trained in England as an Ecnomist and later a lawyer.
With his demise, all the chiefs on the Otun line too will move a step further, with High Chief (Senator) Lekan Balogun becoming the Otun and Senattor Rashidi Ladoja the Osi, subject to the approval of the Olubadan-in-Council.
