This is definitely a bad news coming from the Ibadan's political circle, as one of top politicians in the pacesetter state, Hon. Nurudeen Akinyo, is dead.
Akinyo was said to have died very late yesterday night, in an Abuja hospital after a brief sickness.
He was one of the close allies of the executive governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi and also served as Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, before they parted ways.
Akinyo was one of the forces that re-branded Labour Part (LP) in Oyo State after he left All Progressives Congress (APC). He contested Oyo South Senatorial District in the last general elections.
He was a grassroot politician and Travel & Tour consultant. He was age 40.
