There is no doubt in the fact that come this Sunday 5th April, 2015, most of the Ibadan's top celebrities are going to converge at the Awolowo Stadium (formerly Liberty Stadium), Ibadan, for the 8 days Fidau prayer, for late Giwa Adini of Yorubaland and the Ashipa Bobagunwa of Ibadanland, Chief Mufutau Ajadi Lanihun.
Who died on Sunday 29th March, 2015, at an Ibadan hospital, after undisclosed protracted ailment. He was buried the same day at his house in Oke-Ado area of Ibadan, in Islamic right.
In case you don't know who we are talking about here, let's give you an insight. Late Mufu Lanihun was from the popular 'Ori Olowo' family of Popo Yemoja in Ibadan.
He became so popular back then when he hit big in his importation business (vehicle engines importation) and got his 'Olowo ti nf'owo saanu alias due to his philanthropic gesture towards people.
He was the one who built the many block of classrooms, which is today known as 'Mufu Lanihun College of Education, along Ibadan-Lagos expressway.
He dominated the social scene like no man's business in the late 90s and early 80s and his was on the lips of so many Nigerian musicians back then.
Come this Sunday, all the who-is-who in the Ibadan social circle and beyond will be present at special prayers for the repose of Lanihun's soul, as his social and business connection cut across in his lifetime.
