Arewa as she is popularly known, Princess Folasade Adeyemi is contesting the Atiba constituency seat to the Oyo State House of Assembly in the February 28 elections.

In an encounter recently, Folasade reinstated her commitment to bring about good and credible representation to her constituency. In what she described as 'Transformation Agenda and Mission', which include:

.Better Legislation in Oyo State, to promote .Legislation that will better the lives of the people.

.Grass-root Reforms in Atiba LGA.

.Women and Youth Empowerment For Self-Sustenance.

.All-round Infrastructural Development in Atiba LGA. .To Support Legislation For The Independence of Local Government.

.To support Bottom-up Government Approach For Development.

.To support Bills To Place Traditional Rulers in Their Rightful Position. To Further Develop Tradition and Culture As Tools to Transform Atiba LGA, Oyo Alaafin and Oyo State as Tourist Destination Centres.

When asked how prepared is she for the coming election and why she thinks people should vote for her? Folasade was very optimistic in her response. "By the virtue of my position as a promoter of Yoruba Tradition and Culture and my background as princess. I have travelled far and wide, promoting culture. I have met with different kinds of people with different background and culture.

So the exposure and experiences at different levels has, frankly speaking, prepared me for any task ahead. So right from the beginning I've been peoples' person, I have mixed with the grass root and understand them better. I know their challenges and what their needs are.

That is why now going to them seeking their support is not a problem. I have touched all the local governments and wards in my zone, soliciting for peoples' support. The acceptance, love and commitment of my people is overwhelming. I say a big thank you to them. So with all these, am qualified for the job and we are ready for election.

Let me also say it here that I have all it takes to bring about good representation to my people. I have the experience, my contacts are there both within and outside the country. We have the blue-print of what we are going to do and it is just a matter of hitting the ground and start running", she stated.
