Oduduwa State On The Way, As Jonathan Visit Ooni Of Ife.

Part of the many requests as President Goodluck Jonathan visited the Ooni of Ife yesterday, was the creation of Oduduwa State.

Over 50 monarchs from across Osun State gathered yesterday at the palace of Ooni of Ie, HRM, Oba Okunade Sijuade, Olubuse 11, to receive Mr. President.

While speaking, the kabiyesis requested in one voice full participation of the South-West in Jonathan's government and while the creation of Oduduwa State with its headquarters in Ile-Ife becomes necessary amongst other things.
In his response, Jonathan however promised to amend whatever error that might have been committed in the past as per low participation of the South-West in his administration.
The monarchs present thereafter fortified Mr. President ahead of the coming rescheduled general election, pointing their staff of offices at him for royal blessings.
This is the second visit of President Jonathan to Ooni of Ife in the recent time, in his bid to seek maximum support from the South-West ahead of the coming elections.
