In his new month sermon, Bro. Kenny of the Redeemed Christian Church, His Presence, Ibadan, discussed extensively the topic "The King and Prosperity". He was able to highlight all those things one must do to live like a king and enjoy God's prosperity without any hindrance whatsoever.
To back his point, he picked the book of Psalm in Bible as an example, as it is written in the holy book of God, Psalm 23 verse 1-6 (God is my shepherd, I shall not want.......).
Number one step to take for one to enjoy all God had promised is to identify the difference between Needs and Wants. The things that are priorities and those things that are wants, but not binding. For God has the power to provide for our needs and wants accordingly.
God has given man the power to rule and dominate over all things on earth. It only for us to know who we really are to be able to use the power accordingly. But how do one discover who is he or she? By total submission to God to be able to hear when He is communicating to us in spirit. We must be able to identify with God to know our destination. Because it is only holy spirit that can make one prosper without no stress, so far you are in Him. We must obey the Lord's direction on issues. Another point is that we must meditate the word of God. We must be good to people. We must have absolute faith in God. We must give and pay our tithe.
Once all these things are being followed to the latter, one must be sure to live like a king and enjoy God's prosperity. We must understand that it is only divine prosperity that can last forever. As the world given prosperity has no guarantee.
