1 Year After: Senator Simeon Oduoye Remembered.

Today makes it a year that Senator Simeon Olasunkanmi Oduoye AIG (Rtd) left this world. The former Administrator of Niger and Ebonyi states and former senator who represented Osun Central between 2007-2011, died on March 21st, 2014, after a brief illness at the age of 69.

He was given a befitting burial on May 2nd, 2014, at his home town of Ikirun, where top celebs in the society gathered to celebrate a life well spent of a man of courage and an elder statesman.
According to Barr. Kayode Oduoye, the first son of Late Senator Simeon Oduoye and Osun PDP candidate to contest Odo-Otin/Ifelodun/Boripe Federal Constituency in the coming election, there is going to be a thanksgiving service in honour of the deceased tomorrow March 22nd, 2015, at Ikirun. 
In his words, ''365days REMEMBRANCE:
We remember our father late Senator Simeon Olasunkanmi Oduoye,AIG-RTD  today & his memory will continue to live in our hearts.A thanksgiving service will be held in his honour tomorrow Sunday/22nd March, 2015 by 10am at CAC oke-ibukun, Owode, Isale-Agunji, Ikirun. 
Refreshments for guests follows at his residence in ikirun by 1pm.We will be honoured if you can join us tomorrow.
