The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde, has been replaced by the Federal Government.
It is revealed that Ibrahim Magu, one of the most senior officers at the Governance Unit of the commission is to take over from the embattled Chairman.
Findings also revealed that Lamorde’s tenure in office lapses this week.
It is believed that one of the reasons he did not get an extension might be the allegation that N 1 trillion was diverted under his watch. The allegation is still being probed by the Senate.
