Osupa to thrill football fans June 2 as 3SC faces Abia Warriors in NPFL Matchday 34

Popular Fuji star, Akorede Babatunde Okunola, professionally known as Saheed Osupa, will on Sunday, 2nd June, 2024, thrill football fans at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan. According to the organizers, the event tagged FANFEST is part of activities to entertain soccer fans before and after the NFL Matchday 34 between Shooting Stars and Abia Warriors. The Goldberg and 3SC FANFEST will be a day of non stop fun, with popular Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa along side DJ Big N, CDQ and MC Bash, 3SC media officer, Tosin Omojola, noted in a statement. Omojola added that various entertaining programmes have been lined up to spice up the event which will see soccer fans going home with different prizes. According to him, there will also be Freestyle Entertainment Football Challenge with ball jogglers and football freestylers on ground to spice up the event. OAN set for October New York Parade

T he Organization for the Advancement of Nigerians (OAN) and NIDC have announced their readiness for the 2024 edition of the yearly parade. This was contained in a statement made available to the media in Nigeria over the weekend. OAN was founded in 1989 by a group of concerned Nigerians living in the United States of America, to address the needs of the Nigerian community. The organization prides itself as the foremost Nigerian platform with the largest audience at a single parade across the USA. Updated: Erisco tomato paste reviewer, Okoli gets N5m bail

Chioma Okoli was granted N5 million in bail with two sureties in the same amount by Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja. The allegations against Okoli stemmed from the remarks she made online about tomato paste made by Erisco Foods Limited. Justice Lifu admitted her to bond but stipulated that one of the sureties had to be a blood relative or the defendant's spouse who lived within the court's jurisdiction and had a varied source of income. In addition to directing the defendant to present her foreign passport, if any, the judge also ordered the sureties to deposit passport photos for each of them. Judge Lifu accepted the lawyer's contention that Okoli was charged with a crime that qualified for bail. Justice Lifu additionally declared that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in accordance with Section 36(5) of the 1999 Constitution as amended. Professor Wole Soyinka, the recipient of the Nobel Prize, has stated that he may reapply to have his permanent residency in the US restored in light of former US President Donald Trump's conviction. Pastor (Engineer) Sunday Matthew Adetunji, the father-in-law of the publisher of Parrot Xtra Magazine and Host of Parrot Xtra Ayekooto on Splash 105.5 FM, Olayinka Agboola, is dead. Agboola confirmed the new in a post on his Facebook page, Pastor Adetunji, he said, died at the age of 82.
