The Secretary of the dissolved Presidential Committee on Reconciliation and Recovery of Stamp Duties Revenue, Kazaure Gudaji has narrated how N89 trillion from stamp duties was misappropriated and diverted by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele. Following the success of its recent public auction of over 649 vehicles, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, will soon commence the process of sale of forfeited properties comprising 160 flats and apartments in 16 locations across the country. The Commission’s Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa disclosed this today, Thursday December 15, 2022, while giving account of the Agency’s activities at the 62nd session of the State House Media Briefing organized by the Presidential Communications Team at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja. Po pular Nigerian politician and the Country's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Demola Seriki is dead. Seriki was said to have died in the early hours of Thursday, according to a banner spotted online. He was aged 63. Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of a number of aides who will see to the running of the office of the Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdulroheem Adebayo Lawal. Those appointed include Barrister Ajibade Hassan Adewumi (Senior Special Assistant, Legal Matters); Mr. Nasiru Ogede Ayinde (SSA Projects); Mr. Badmus Shuaib Adesola (SSA Domestic); Kehinde Joel (SSA Online Media); Mr. Oyedeji Ahmed (SSA Public Affairs); Mr. Ajagbe Yusuff Olatunji (SSA Political); Omolere Omoetan (SSA Media) and Mr. Adebayo Wahab Adewale (SSA Administration). Oyo State Governor, ’Seyi Makinde, on Monday, applauded the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for the  excellent work it has been doing towards ending gender-based violence in the state. The governor, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Strategy and Political Matters, Hon. Babatunde Oduyoye, made the commendation while receiving the coordinator and members of the Oyo State chapter of NHRC.
