Mike Adenuga's Daughter, Bella Disu Builds Mega Shopping Complex In Lagos

Bella Disu, daughter of Nigerian billionaire and Globacom CEO Mike Adenuga, is building a multimillion-dollar shopping mall in Opebi, the commercial hub of Ikeja, Lagos. The new shopping mall christened “Ile-Oja” is situated along the ever-busy Opebi Allen Road in Ikeja. It has three floors with available lettable spaces from 75 square meters to 890 square meters. The mall is 98-percent complete, and is expected to open its doors to the public in the first quarter of 2023. The shopping mall is being developed by Cobble-Stone Properties & Estates Limited, the property development company that Disu controls. Cobble-Stone, which was established in 2011, owns a portfolio of landmark residential and commercial properties across Nigeria ranging from high rise apartments, terraced apartments and detached houses, to office spaces and retail shops. A republican councilwoman, Eunice Dwumfour has been shot dead in front of her home in New Jersey, United States of America. She was the wife of a Nigeria-based pastor, Eze Kings, according to the Foundation for Investigative Journalism. New York Post gathered that Dwumfour, 30, was hit with about 12 gunshots by a yet-to-be-identified assailant while driving around her home on Wednesday evening. The white Nissan SUV she drove crashed into two parked cars before coming to a stop. A male witness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told NY Post Thursday that Dwumfour’s car was hit with about 12 shots while traveling down Check Avenue toward Samuel Circle around 7:15 p.m. The vehicle eventually came to a stop after crashing into two parked cars, including the witness’s black Lexus GS350. I am peering at the viral video of the naked young man inside the banking hall as I write this. His manhood dangles like the pendulum of the Grandfather Clock of colonial Nigeria. He is totally naked, even as he shouts that he needs to withdraw cash from the bank. I am aghast and disillusioned at the same time. I do not know what to think. My mouth is wide open, saliva gliding majestically as it drooled off my lower lip. Before now, I saw a similar video. It was that of a semi-naked young lady. She too had peeled off her wraps in protest of the crisis of cash that engulfed Nigeria last week. She was a centimetre off revealing her total nudity. She was a pathetic sight too as she constantly mouthed her frustration. Her kids could not go to school due to the crisis, she lamented in Yoruba, asking to be given her money or get her account closed. What could have driven humanity to this Albert Camus’ absurdity?
