Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan Gbenga Ogunbote, said his team will aim for a positive result against Nasarawa United today, to kick start their NPFL 2024/25 campaign.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Club's spokesperson, Tosin Omojola.
The Oluyole Warriors, will face the Solid Miners Sunday afternoon at the Lafia City Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the Matchday one fixture, the 'Oracle' as the sweat merchant is fondly called, admitted that it will be a tough game, considering the fact that the host are not new to the NPFL hostilities.
"Every team playing in the premiership needs to be respected. They (Nasarawa United) have been there before before they lost their status, now they are back, they are not new in the premiership.
"I will not get carried away by the fact that they just coming back. We will do our best to get a good result beause our target is to start well and finish brilliantly", stated the 3SC gaffer.
Team captain, Gali Falke equally expressed the readiness of the Ibadan soccer lords to pick the maximum points against their host.
"We have had a good preparation, as you can see, our spirit is here and we are hoping by God's grace, we will get the three points here".
