Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, (Ọjájá II) is set to hold a grand thanksgiving reception his 2nd Olori, Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda.
Saturday 20 May, 2023 has been picked for the event. A palace source revealed that Ooni had already sent out invitations to family and friends for the thanksgiving service and reception of his Queen.
The event will be preceded by the traditional entry of the Queen into the ancient Oodua Palace of Ile-Ife this Thursday.
Recall the young monarch married Opeoluwa in a private event at Magodo area of Lagos in 2022. The wedding came shortly after his marriage to Mariam Anako. His chiefs represented him at the event.
Ooni has married 6 wives in quick succession after the last wife, Naomi Silekunola left the palace a few months back.
Specifically, Naomi declared her split with the monarch on December 23, 2021, ending a union that lasted around three years and gave birth to a son named Tadenikawo.
Naomi was the second to move out of the palace of the revered monarch. The Edo-born Zaynab-Otiti he married when he was coronated also left in 2016. The union lasted for 17 months before their separation.
