"Today we celebrate one of our most worthy benefactors, Chief Tony Anenih CFR, the Iyasele of Esanland as he clocks 85.
Six years ago he endowed the Hospital's Chief Tony Anenih Geriatric Centre (CTAGC) specially and specifically for the provision of top notch medical services to the elders. This is the first of such in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Centre has grown in leaps and bounds since then having seen over 15,000 elderly patients including the man who designed the Nigerian National Flag, Mr Taiwo Akinkunmi who enjoys total free medical services in the Centre.
The Centre has also become the hub of Geriatric medical training for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
With a premium insurance of N18,000 National Health Insurance Scheme per annum, the elders sure have the full complement of the the best qualitative medical services at this Centre.
Thank you sir. We are most grateful. You shall live to witness more years on earth in good health sir."
