FIBAN Calls For Peace And Prayer During Ramadan. ...Charges Members For Good Conduct In Its Coming Election.

The Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria [FIBAN] has congratulates all Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of this Eid-el-Fitri which signals the end of Ramadan fast, one of the most crucial pillars of Islam. 

In celebrating the fulfilment of this holy injunction, FIBAN urges Nigerians to let the lessons imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan fast control all our thoughts and actions as we continue to relate as an entity. 

President of the association, Comrade Desmond Nwachukwu, through the National Secretary, Bisi Ajiboye, calls for prayers and peaceful coexistence among all ethnic and religious group of our dear country.

He, however, urges all members of Freelance and Independent Association of Nigeria [FIBAN] to use the opportunity of the end of holy month of Ramadan that coincides with FIBAN state general elections to allow peace to reign before, during and after the election.

In his words, “I’m personally urging all members of our great association to use the opportunity of this holy month that coincided with our states' general election, allow peace to reign and play the game according to the rules as I’m assuring every aspirants across the country that a level play ground would be provided”

 Desmond speaks further “repositioning of FIBAN is a responsibility of all members to profitably achieve its core mandates, deserved identity, needed dignity and expected prosperity which is now pertinent and sacrosanct. We must dream and team together, work and win together, stand and work together to restructure and re-brand our association by extension play our prominent roles in making our society a better place to live in", he submitted.

Meanwhile, according to the timetable released by the Chairman FIBAN Electoral Committee Alhaji Akinkunmi Alabi, the election process will take place simultaneously across the country. The screening of candidates takes place on the 21st June, 2017 and accreditation of members and voting comes up on 5th of July 2017. Alabi calls for cooperation so that the association can have a free, fair and credible general elections.
