The embattled former Minister of State for Defence, Musliu Obanikoro has changed his mind to honour the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC's invitation, over alleged #4.7bn arms funds linked to him.
Obanikoro was said to have arrived the country from USA through Amsterdam and headed straight for Abuja where he is expected to meet with officials of the anti-graft agency on Monday (today).
It would be recalled that a company belonging to Obanikoro’s sons, Sylvan McNamara, is being investigated by the commission for allegedly receiving N4.75bn arms funds from the office of the former National Security Adviser between April 4, 2014, and December 15, 2014.
EFCC alleged that N4.745bn was paid into a Diamond Bank account of Sylvan McNamara during the period stated above, adding that it has documentary to back up its claim.
We promise to furnish you with details of their meeting later.
