"70 Is The Beginning Of A New Life For Me."-KSA. .Opens Up On Romance Rumour Between Him And Onyeka Onwenu. +Plus Exclusive Details Of His Birthday Celebration Revealed.
King of the World Beat, Prince Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye aka KSA recently in a chat with trendscopenewsonline, has revealed that clocking 70 for him is the beginning of a new life. Come Thursday 22nd September, 2016, KSA will clock 70 in style. "Every year we normally meet for my birthday but this one is different, unique and fantastic and I believe that this is the beginning of my new life, " he stated.
KSA also cleared the air on the controversies generated by his musical collaboration with Onyeka Onwenu, where they were both romantically linked as a result of the popular song 'Wait For Me' 30 years ago. He said their relationship is purely official and noting more.
"At that time we did the song to guide kids against unwanted pregnancy, if I remember very well it was organised by Hopskins University of America. So we recorded the song as call and response, it was a pure gimmick and the fans bought it, it led to a lot of rumours that made the song big. But In reality, Onyeka is my colleague, my sister and a good woman. I never had a crush on her, we play together on stage everytime."
Meanwhile, lots of activities have been put in place for his 70th birthday celebration.
The celebration officially kicked off on Thursday 1st Sep., 2016, with a special prayer for KSA by the Redeemed Christian Church of God General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye. It was followed with Holy Communion with Daddy G.O.
On 21st of September, there would be Gospel Music Night in Ondo, where the artists will serenade the celebrant with birthday song to usher him into his day.
22nd of Sep., which is the 'D' day, there is going to be early morning special prayer for the celebrant by his family. Then other people will later join in the church service inside the celebrantor's mansion. While the party proper will start with children and grandchildren of the celebrant, where they would be celebrating their father.
As usual, by 23rd of Sep., the celebrant will pay visit to Motherless Babies Homes, Prisons and do some other charity work for the day. The next day 24th Sep., is going to specially for the immediate family of the celebrant. Where they would be celebrating their man in their own special way.
Then on Wednesday 28th Sep., the party train will move to Ile-Ife where His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja 11) and Apreel 1 Event Management would be celebrating KSA in grand style. The Ife party starts with a lecture at the university campus where eminent Nigerians will be present. After the lecture there is going to be dinner at Enu-Owa, inside the palace of Ooni.
The celebration continues till October and by Oct. 29 there will be another event in South Africa. After which a book launch comes up Oct. 27. On Oct. 2nd there will be another concert in Ibadan where different musicians (Juju, Hip Hop and Traditional) with all kinds style of music from old and young generation would celebrate KSA on one state.
Redeemed, the Church of Nigeria will also be celebrating KSA, where 70 children would be performing live. Freelance Independent Broadcasters of Nigeria (FIBAN), Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) and many other associations will also celebrate KSA in-between.
The grand finale of the whole celebration, which date is yet to be fixed, will be very huge with many foreign musicians across Africa coming to Nigeria to celebrate the celebrant in a special concert. It will be packaged by a South African organisation.
Arrangement is also in place to see if American musician Stevland Hardaway Morris aka Steev Wonder, who KSA has done music collaboration with, will be coming to Nigeria to celebrate Sunny Ade at 70.
