Mr. Latin Foundation Annual Lecture Holds. As 5 Notable Traditional Rulers Set To Be Honoured.

Veteran Yoruba comic actor and director, Bolaji Amusan popularly known as Mr Latin has picked September 21st, 2016, which also coincided with the World’s Peace Day, for the Annual Lecture of Mr Latin Foundation.

Theme of this year’s lecture is tagged, “The Roles Of Traditional Institutions As A Panacea For Peace, Unity and Stability In Nation Building”.

The event, which is going to take place at the main auditorium of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, would play host to Royal Ambassadors of Peace like HIM Oba Michael Adedotun Gbadebo III, the Alake of Egbaland; the Ooni of Ife, HIM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja 1); HIM Jacob Gyang Buba, Gbongwon of Jos and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, HIM Oba Saliu Adetunji (Aje Ogungunuso 1).

Prominent comedian, Ali Baba would anchor the event. While other expected dignitaries include the Board of Trustees Chairman, Mr. Dele Odule; King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, who is the Chairman of the day and Grand Patron of the foundation; Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga. the Deputy Governor of Ogun State and Deputy Governor of Osun State, Her Excellency, Otunba (Mrs) Grace Titi Laoye-Tomori are Mothers of the Day.

Guest Speakers are Prof. Akinwunmi Ishola and Prof. Peter Okebukola (OFR).

The annual lecture, which will be consecutively holding for the 6th time, is usually an empowerment one, according to founder of the foundation, Mr Latin.

"100 Youths and Widows are going to receive empowerment on the day with free medical care for all and a host of other events."

New permanent office of the foundation which is now at No. 5, Ajegunle Street, Off Abiola Way, Olorunsogo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, would also be commissioned on the day.

Mr Latin Foundation, a non-governmental outfit, was established by the renowned classical comedian cum actor, Mr. Latin with the primary aim of enlightening the general public on issues relating to Drug abuse, Health, Marital and Child Rights while empowering the less privileged, particularly Youths and Widows with the intention to ensuring that they have an egalitarian society.

These and many are part of the core values of the foundation, to achieve an equal-level society where personalities are trained to be self-sustaining and contribute effectively to nation building.
