Remember we served you story of the death of the Yoruba paramount ruler, the Ooni of Ife Oba Okunade Sijuade (Olubuse 11), late last night.
The Onirisa as he was mostly referred to in his lifetime died yesterday evening, 28th July 2015, in a London hospital.
He was said to have been flown out of the country last week Friday, 24th July 2015 when he reportedly slumped on Thursday and was rushed to Ibadan airport, from where he was flown to Lagos in an air ambulance en route to England for treatment. His condition was however said to have been stable by Saturday.
But relapsed and gave up on Tuesday.
Oba Sijuade ascended the throne in December 6th,1980, to succeed late Oba Adesoji Aderemi. He was the fiftieth Ooni of Ife. He died at the age of 85 (born 1st January 1930).
