Ibadan's Top Businessman, Dekit Is Dead, How He Gave Up In The Hands of Kidnappers


This indeed is a sad news coming from the Ibadan business/social circle, as the death story of one of the top businessmen in town, Architect Dele Lagunju, popularly known as Dekit, came in today.

Dekit, we exclusively gathered met his untimely death in the hands of deadly kidnapper, who waylayed him, his driver and one other occupant in the car, on their way from Abuja on Monday 8th June, 2015.

The case was said to have been reported at an undisclosed police station, when two of the victims miraculously escaped from their captors. Which led to a team of policemen being set up to search for the third victim (Dekit).

The search we heard continued till Friday night without no success. But shockingly according to our source, the deceased dead body were found today inside the bush.

According to another credible  source, "Dekit was said to have fainted immediately they were captured and didn't make it out alive while two other people somehow escaped from their captors."

Meanwhile, an unconfirmed report also had it that the kidnappers contacted family of the deceased for ransom and that this unfortunate incident happened after an unknown amount of ransom have been paid.
Architect Dele Lagunju in his lifetime was the brain behind Dekit Construction, he was a successful businessman.
