"Leave Alaafin Out Of Your Poltics"-Oyo PDP's State Assembly Candidate, Folashade Adeyemi Warns Opposition.
Princess Folashade Adeyemi, the first daughter of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111 and the Oyo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state assembly candidate, has described as evil and laughable, the rumour going round that she has stepped down in the coming state assembly election this Saturday 11th April, 2015.
The purported rumour was said to have generated from the incumbent honourable, representing Atiba in the state assembly, Hon. W.A Ganiyu and his All Progressive Congress (APC) group.
Folashade has however warned the opposition to desist from using Alaafin's name to score cheap political points. As the monarch according to her, is not a member of APC. She stated that even if Alaafin should be identified with any political party then it should be PDP, as he was part of the founding members of the party.
Nevertheless, Alaafin is father to all people irrespective of their political affiliations, Folashade said. Folashade took to her facebook wall to address the roumour. She also used the avenue to appeal to her supporters to be steadfast and vote massively for herself and all PDP candidates in the coming election.
According to Princess Folashade, " Oyo APC house of assembly candidate representing Atiba Constituency in Oyo Alaafin and his team have to stop their useless 'Propaganda'. Leave Alaafin alone and out of your campaign. "Stop Using Alaafin's name to manipulate people to vote for your party. Is Alaafin your manifesto? she submitted".
